Accessing University of London Libraries: Overview
Library provision for City students and staff at other University of London libraries and institutions is outlined in the table below.
During exam time many universities restrict access to visitors. Please check with the institutions below before making your visit to avoid disappointment.
Senate House Library
Senate House Library is the central library for the University of London with a research collection covering Arts, Literature, Humanities and Social Sciences. City students and staff can apply online for access to Senate House Library using the pre-registration form.
The table indicates the library provision at other University of London member libraries for City students and staff. SCONUL Access is a reciprocal scheme allowing students and staff to use or borrow books at other libraries. Once your application has been approved, you will be able to visit other SCONUL Access libraries with your authorisation email and City, University of London ID card.

Where access is permitted, City students and staff are entitled to visit to use resources which are not held in our collections. It is generally not permitted to visit other libraries for study space only.
