Library Services for staff

What is Reading Lists Online (RLO)?

Reading Lists Online (RLO) is a reading list application that provides students with quick and easy access to books, e-books, journal articles and websites recommended for the modules they have registered for.

RLO also offers benefits to academic staff.  The software enables you to:

  • Easily add and remove items from your list of resources
  • Easily organise the lists to suit the module structure, and quickly change the order of the resources listed.
  • Include annotations for your students
  • Integrate the reading list into Moodle
  • Notify the Library about items we should purchase or digitise for your module

Digital Course Readings

Our digital course readings service allows extracts from material which is not available in e-book or as an online resource to be made available to students in the form of scanned readings. Extracts added to the digital course readings collection must conform to the terms of the license which the University holds with the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA). To find out what can be scanned visit the Library website.

Requests for digital course readings can be placed via the Reading Lists Online system. Contact your Subject Librarian for help with this.
