Get a British Library Reader Pass and access the reading rooms in St Pancras

Senate House Library is the central library for the University of London with a research collection covering Arts, Literature, Humanities and Social Sciences. City students and staff can apply online for access to Senate House Library using the pre-registration form.

Recommend books to the Library. If the book you have requested costs less than £80.00 and there are no other copies in stock your order will be placed with our supplier within five working days.
Please be aware that books can take approximately four weeks from date of request to appear on the Library's shelves.

Click here for information on how to order a book or journal article through Inter-Library loan. Inter-Library loans cost £3 each, so don't forget to check first that we definitely don't have the item at one of the City University Libraries!

Includes the catalogues of approximately 90 UK and Irish academic, national and specialist libraries, so it is a good way to find out what has been published. Libraries include the British Library, UCL and the Wellcome Library, amongst others.
