Statistics

Statistics is the science of collecting, organising, analysing, interpreting and presenting numerical data. Many statistical databases include analyses and reports and you can also analyse datasets and draw your own conclusions.

City subscribes to a wide range of databases providing economic, social, industry, technical, and other types of data.

Statista can be used to gather economic, consumer or industry statistics. To get started, login and use the large search box to find statistics on your topic or browse by subject using the dropdown menu at the top.

OECD iLibrary provides data gathered by governments around the world. It's very useful if you need aggregate data for economies and industries.

Use these online resources to find statistics about consumer markets such as market share.  For detailed data and statistics about financial markets (for instance for equities or commodities), please use the Financial Information Guide.

These databases are free to use and provide the statistics that both corporations and governments use to make key decisions.
