The SCONUL Access scheme enables City, University of London students and staff to access other University libraries around the country and, depending on your status, borrow books.You can find out more and register for the scheme by visiting the SCONUL Access website.
Once registered with SCONUL you'll receive a confirmation email, just take this (either as a print out, or on your phone) to your chosen library, along with your City card.
Generally as a member of university staff you will be able to borrow items from your chosen library, however it's best to call and double check before you visit.
The British Library is the UK's National Library, anyone can visit but to use the Reading Rooms at St Pancras you will need to register for a Reader Pass. The British Library receives a copy of each book published in the UK, so will have books which may not be stocked by other libraries. You can search for titles using the the British Library catalogue or Library Hub Discover.
Registering for a Reader Pass:
Before you register, you should search the British Library catalogue to confirm they have the material you require. All applications will be subject to the British Library's Admission criteria which is based on ‘need’
Pre-register for your Reader Pass online, once registered you will be able to login and reserve items for your first visit.
