You can access specialist assistive software in the dedicated spaces at Northampton Square Library and the Law Library.
The Assistive Technology Centre (ATC) at Northampton Square Library makes available a range of assistive software packages, equipment and adaptive furniture. There are three individual bookable rooms and three drop-in spaces with pcs.
The ATC is in Northampton Square Library Level 2. Turn right from the Library entrance or the accessible lift entrance and follow signage to the ATC. The door to the Assistive Technology Centre and all internal doors to individual rooms are automatic and will open when you swipe your City ID card on the reader. You can use a pc or study space in the Assistive Technology Centre drop-in area. There are three pc spaces available. You do not need to book ahead to use one of these spaces.
You can book up to four hours per day. There are three individual Assistive Technology Rooms available.

Height adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs and a scanner.
Inside an individual room you can find a height-adjustable desk, ergonomic chair and emergency cord.
The Assistive Technology Room (ATR) at the Law Library makes available a range of assistive software packages, equipment and adaptive furniture. There is one bookable room with capacity for one person.
The ATR is in the Law Library Level 1.
You can book up to four hours per day.

There are two Assistive Technology Computers at the Business Library. The computers are in the open area at the entrance of Room 1002.
You do not need to book to use these computers.
