Request outcome time frames

The length of time that will elapse between your digitisation request and the digitisation becoming available to students will depend on the outcome of your request. A guide is given below, but please note that at busy periods (such as the beginning of term) it may take a little longer.

 

Possible request outcomes and estimated time until digitisation will be available
Request Outcome Response time and action
Successful request 2 days. You w ill receive a message to confirm availability
Referral to  the digitisation team because of a problem 1 day to receive a message explaining problem and action to be taken
Book needs to be ordered 1 month. In the meantime a scan can be ordered by Inter-Library Loan (there will be a charge).
E-book needs to be ordered Normally within a fortnight
Needs to be ordered from another library Normally a week. There will be a charge. Can be faster at increased charge
Permission to be requested from publisher Uncertain - depends on publisher
